From Successful Athlete to Widely Renowned Youth Sports Performance Coach

Dave is the owner of one of the top youth training facilities in the world in Pembroke, MA, and has worked with thousands of athletes ranging from shy six year-olds to MLS All-stars. 

He’s also an acclaimed international presenter on youth fitness and widely regarded as the fitness industry’s ‘’go to guy’’ for coaching kids ages 9-18.

A 4-year starter and Co-Captain of the Division I Soccer Team that brought Silver Lake Regional High School its very first Massachusetts State Championship, Dave understands the inherent benefits of discipline, hard work and perseverance. 

In January of 2010 Dave was inducted into his high school’s athletic Hall of Fame as an individual and as a member of that State Championship team. 

 As a Division II 2nd Team All-New England Captain for Keene State College, Dave capped his athletic career and began his professional career in Westchester County, New York.

Dave is the co-creator of the popular IYCA Youth Speed Development and Complete Athletic Development (CAD) products.

Dave’s book contributions include the IYCA Youth Fitness Specialist Level 1 text - Essentials of Youth Conditioning and Fitness (Second Edition), IYCA Concepts of Youth Athletic Assessment and How Much Does A Zebra Weigh by Kyle Brown and most recently Complete Sports Training.

Dave has been an expert contributor and advisor to international brands (Reebok, USTA, US Hockey) and consultant to trainers, coaches, and physical educators. Dave is a provider of sports performance consulting services and staff education to youth club soccer organizations throughout New England.

In addition to providing sports performance training for aspiring young athletes, Dave owns and operates a soccer camp for boys and girls entering grades 1-9 with a 34-year history. Each summer hundreds of players of all ability levels attend World Cup Soccer Camp to increase their skills, love for the game and character.

Since 1988 I have been blessed to train and coach athletes of varying ages and ability levels. It is with a great sense of honor and responsibility that I am pursuing a dream, a passion and a calling to help children gain confidence to achieve greatness in sport and in their lives. I view each and every young person I coach as an athlete due to the very definition of that word: a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina.

Our goal is to build more than incredible athletes and certainly more than just to build a business. We are part of a greater movement to restore a physical culture in our kids. A revolution takes an individual, a family and a community working hard and having fun. We are doing just that, and we invite you to join us!

Society is quick to pigeon hole our children as brains in a bottle, plastic trophies or couch potatoes or video game addicts. We consider every child that enters our program to be an athlete and we recognize all of them as champions that can chase the greatness within themselves.

Teaching them to chase greatness in all that they do on and off the field, turf or ice is an honor and a privilege for me and my coaching staff.

A revolution is a paradigm shift – a different way of thinking. We do things differently at Athletes Acceleration South Shore. Our programs are based on skill development not performance; competition over winning; principles instead of values (numbers).

The bottom line is when we focus on the most important things, better performance (speed, strength, power etc.) is always the result. Our unique coaching, curriculum and culture sets them up for success now and for the rest of their lives.
